who & why.

Cat & Dani met in 2018...

When they were both admitted into Brandeis University through the Myra Kraft Transitional Year program. Fate made it so they were the only two scholars in the program who ended up also being roommates so as a result they spent hours upon hours together. Taking the same classes, eating at the same dining hall, and going back to their shoebox-sized forced-triple dorm was overwhelming at times, but Cat & Dani realized very quickly their friendship was worth the difficult conversations, growing pains and shared tears. Together, they found home & sisterhood within each-other, and created a transcendental friendship that for the past six years has defied all borders, literally and figuratively.

"My biggest pride is to serve society, to be a teacher, to have the kids greet me with love, to have their respect. That’s it. That’s my biggest fortune. I’m very poor… but I’m rich in people."

El Semillero, 2022

"Guate was about many things, but especially about community, sun, family, and youth."

Papa Mando, San Juan La Noria, 2022

The person that dedicates their life to education and childhood has a special honor. Their heart is especially devoted to the benefit of humanity… right? For the benefit of humanity.
